The John C. Reilly Factor

As promised, there would be more talk specifically of actors and actresses and how they directly impact a film experience. I started off with The Franco Files and move on now to one of my all-time favorite actors, Mr. John C. Reilly. Talk about an actor with a versatile skill set. The man can do drama as well as he can do comedy. He can be a romantic and he can play a real son-of-a-gun. He’s quite amazing. So I figured he deserves some time in the spotlight in the form of The John C. Reilly Factor. Below you will find all of the roles he’s played that I have talked about so far:

  1. as Officer Jim Kurring in Magnolia
  2. as Dale ‘Murph’ Murphy in The Perfect Storm
  3. as Dale Doback in Stepbrothers
  4. as Reed Rothchild in Boogie Nights
  5. as Arnie Shankman in Anger Management
  6. as Dan Brown in The Hours
  7. as Cal Naughton Jr. in Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby
  8. as Corpsman Rhomann Dey in Guardians of the Galaxy
  9. as Tucker Van Dyke in What’s Eating Gilbert Grape
